Inaugural ITF Hall Of Fame
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Australasian ITF Hall Of Fame, with the historic ceremony being held in Melbourne on Sunday 16th April, 2017, in conjunction with the Global ITF open Championships and Global Masters Seminar Series.
The ITF Hall Of Fame Australasia will become a featured event on the ITF calendar across the Australasian region.
With many fine Taekwon-Do practitioners, regional pioneers and high performers, the region has become one of the strong holds of the International Taekwon-Do Federation and now earns and deserves the respect it receives.
The ITF Hall of Fame welcomes members from all ITF practicing schools, who continue the legacy of the Founder, General Choi Hong Hi, through the adherence and promotion of his teachings.
In it’s inaugural year we will induct several significant contributors, and then a limited number of inductees in subsequent years to make this quite an exclusive and revered title.
Categories of recognition in the ITF Hall of Fame Australasia include:
- Lifetime Contribution Award
- International Ambassador Award
- Popular Choice Award
- Outstanding Athlete award
- Indomitable Spirit Award
- ITF Hall of Fame – Legend
The process of nomination includes:
- Filling in the nomination form on this site
- Submitting a detailed CV / training history
- Verification of Rank
- Supporting evidence as required
- Payment of nomination fee
- Attend the awards ceremony
Once you nominate, or have been nominated, an assembly of peers will be consulted to discus the merit and validity of the nomination.
This assembly is formed after close of nominations, to ensure no conflict of interest, and will not include any nominated parties. Successful nominees will be announced and inducted at the official ceremony.
ITF Hall of Fame ceremony bookings are now open for nominees, families, students, friends and supporters to come along to support and acknowledge the great achievements of those inducted.
Bookings and nominations close on Sunday 9th April, 2017.
You can book a seat for yourself, or book a table of 8 for your club.
Seats are limited to be sure to book as soon as possible – Bookings and nominations close on Sunday 9th April, 2017.
