Master Noel Keating
Master Noel Keating, 7th Degree of Australia has been nominated for the ITF Hall Of Fame (Australasia) in the Outstanding Lifetime Contribution category.
Master Keating has been training in ITF Taekwon Do for over 40 years, having commenced in 1975.
In that time, he has done almost all there is to do in Taekwon-Do, as an instructor, coach, competitor and umpire, still actively conducting seminars whilst, up until 2018, running his full time centre, the Australian Institute of Taekwon-Do, in Adelaide, South Australia.
Master Keating has recently relocated to Thailand to live in retirement from work, but not from Taekwon-Do where he still intends to be actively teaching around the South east Asian area, and elsewhere.
On the competition front he has won medals at the ITF World Championships, Singapore National Championships and Australian Master Games, among others.
He has held the role of National Coach at 7 ITF World Championships, as well as being and International Umpire at 4 ITF World Championships.
Master Keating held many executive positions in the Australian National Governing bodies including Secretary, Treasurer and Tournament Director.
He was promoted to 7th Degree by Grandmaster Choi Jung Hwa in 2012.
